January Announcements
Happy New Year to members and parents!
Here are a few items to take note of as we resume after our winter break.

There is a Karate Alberta Tournament in Calgary on January 29 at the Edge School for Athletes (near Springbank). To encourage club participation, we will use casino funds to pay registration fees for any member wishing to compete - yes it's free for you! If you plan on competing, PLEASE COMPLETE THE JANUARY 2012 WAIVER FORM (from here) and submit it at one of the winter registration dates. If you have questions, please speak to Sensei Doug. Karate tournaments are a great way to prepare for testing and to improve your techniques. The next tournament will not likely be held in Calgary, so please consider participating in this one.
- The club will be selling customized hoodies in the next few weeks. The hoodies will have our club logo embroidered on them – you have the option of having your name embroidered for an extra cost.

Registration for the January training session (for new members only) will run from 7:00 - 8:30 pm on the following dates: January 10 at Edgemont Community Centre, January 11 at Joan of Arc School and January 12 at St. Michael's.

In January the Westsprings Elementary School (Wednesday night class) is unavailable – for January 18, 25 and February 1, Wednesday night’s class will be held at the Calgary French and International School. Class will resume at Westsprings School beginning February 8.
