The belt test is this Sunday, May 6th at the Edgemont dojo. Testing begins at 9:30, so please be there no later than 9:15 a.m. White belts may leave after their test is complete, however all colored belts who are testing must remain until the end of the testing session. Please be there at 9:15 am, bring snacks, water and your mouth and fist guards.

Test results will be available within one week of the test and will be sent via email and posted on the club website.

Members who pass the test and advance to a new belt color will have their new belts presented to them within two weeks of the test.

White belts who pass to yellow belt level, please come to the same class time, i.e., 6:30 pm and 9:30 am on Saturdays.This will be your introduction to the next katas and sparring. Colored belts are welcome to come to any class for extra training and to help the new yellow belts as they are introduced to sparring.

Class Cancellation: There is no class at St. Michael's on May 7 due to school use.

Please be sure to bring your fist guards and mouth guards to every class.

Congratulations to Sempai Mariah Blunt and Sempai Noah Thompson for their results at Nationals in Vancouver in March. Noah achieved a 4th place finish in kumite and Mariah achieved a second place finish in kumite, which qualifies her to compete with the national team at the Pan Am karate tournament in Cancun in August. Sempai Mariah also competed at the US Open and Junior Olympics in Las Vegas over the Easter break where she achieved a third place finish in kumite at the Junior Olympics. Congratulations!
